Albert is a systems specialist at IVIS. His responsibilities include data integration of the BFAP divisions, their clients and partners through innovate systems design and implementation.
Dipuo is an analyst in the commodity markets and foresight division. She is responsible for updating and data management of macro-economic and international price data and the development and maintenance of sectoral PE. Through model development and research Dipuo has gained valuable experience related to the cotton industry in South Africa.
Divan is heading the Farm & Production Analytics Division and is responsible for farm- and financial analytics, risk simulation and investment assessment for a variety of agricultural enterprises in Southern- and Eastern Africa.
Gerhard co-ordinates projects in BFAP, through IVIS, that requires a systems solutions to extract the optimal amount of insights from different data sources. His passion for innovation is also extended into the production analytics space where he specializes in resource modelling and optimization.
Helga is an analyst in the Value Chain Analytics division. Her training as an industrial engineer are used to evaluate and optimise product flows in food value chains.
Hester heads the Consumer Economics division. She is responsible for monitoring the cost of healthy eating in South Africa. She also analyses the effect of macro-economic changes on food consumption patterns in South African and beyond.
Jodie is as a data analyst at BFAP. She specialises in running in-depth robust data analysis, custom visualisation of insight and spatial contextualisation for client specific outcomes.

Louw is a Senior Analyst at BFAP and completed his Masters in Agricultural Economics at Stellenbosch University in 2013. Marion is BFAP’s lead data scientist and is responsible for data management and advanced analytics. Her training as a mathematical statistician enables her to facilitate the divisional experts in BFAP to extract the most value from various data sources for in depth insights.
Marnus is BFAP’s Operational Manager and also contributes to the Agri-Socio Economic division through his extensive experience in studying actual and potential socio-economic and farm-level impacts of development interventions or technology adoption, with special focus on resource poor farmers.
Mmatlou is a senior lecturer at the University of Pretoria an collaborates with BFAP’s Commodities and Foresight division. He also serves as a director on the BFAP board. His research focus is on international trade and Mmatlou provides valuable insights on trade related issues that are ultimately included in the analytical output of this division.
Pieter is an intern for the Farm and Production Analytics Division of BFAP and he focuses primarily on analytics of farm production and resource management of perennial horticultural crops.
An established specialist in agricultural market analysis, Tracy’s focus includes commodity market modelling, price formation and spatial price relationships, competitiveness and international trade. Tracy has an extensive record of international collaboration, contributing regularly to international market outlook publications and conferences. She has a consistent publication record in peer reviewed journals.
